Our group aims to understand the underlining causes of Alzheimer’s disease, find affordable less invasive biomarkers and develop preventative strategies for the disease.
Our team leader, Professor Ralph Martins, is an authority in Alzheimer’s disease research with over 34 years of experience studying the disease. We are a young team at Macquarie University with big aspirations.
In the new year we will be running four clinical interventions on possible therapies for the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease, a longitudinal study and other projects to investigate potential biomarkers less expensive and less invasive than the currently available options.
